The Department of Horticulture has a multitude of research areas including plant breeding, genetics and genomics; plant physiology; postharvest biology; plant production management; resource management; and native plant conservation. Faculty members work on a vast array of fruit, vegetables, ornamentals, herbs, medicinal plants, endangered native species and row crops within their programs. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
